The Marfreight team is led by Luigi Frungillo and Maria Fera, professionals who have over 20 years of experience in leading shipping companies and international transport businesses. Both have a strong academic background related to the maritime sector, having studied at the Naval University Institute of Naples, with qualifications both as a shipping agent and as a customs broker. Today at MarFreight, Luigi handles the commercial and consulting part, while Maria takes care of all the other operational and assistance aspects.

A complementary professional journey that allows them to offer clients 360° support in managing international exchanges, with concrete and adequate responses in the field of customs consultancy.

The young team, composed of bilingual staff, is capable of providing timely information on the progress of shipments. Each client is followed by a single point of contact, who will take care of their order until its destination.

In MarFreight, My Experience as a Freight Forwarder

Luigi Frungillo, Sole Director of MarFreight, has been in the industry since 1995.

With over 20 years of professionalism, he transitioned from his experience as a Finance Officer to commercial roles in maritime and intermodal transport at Cosulich and I.S.O. In 1997, he joined the Gallozzi Group, where he stayed for three years, refining his knowledge in maritime transport. After a three-year stint with two Shipping Agents, China Shipping Line and Norasia, he returned to Gallozzi in 2002, focusing on development and establishing GF Logistic with offices in Italy and China.

Always in search of new challenges, he joined Maria Fera at MarFreight in February 2016. At the helm of MarFreight, he strives to bring momentum and professionalism to an industry undergoing significant transformation, where the critical issues in shipping related to delivery times, customs challenges, and logistical solutions are the primary variables to address.

My Experience as a Shipping Agent Between Customs and Transportation

In 1997, Maria Fera chose a sector driven by passion: maritime transportation. Since then, she has embarked on a personal and professional journey of growth in the production and management of maritime services. Starting from operational roles such as Booking & Vessel Coordinator at Med Feeder Italia – “I was onboard feeders, managing and compiling stowage plans.” – During her twenty-year experience, she has held various roles in the agency and shipping sector: Inside Sales at Gallozzi Shipping, Branch Manager for Costa Container Lines, and Sales Manager for CO.M.AG. (CMA – CGM).

When CO.M.AG. closed in 2014, Maria was able to relaunch and invest all her energy and experience in creating MarFreight. Driven always by the passion for a sector she chose since university, having completed her studies with a thesis in International Maritime Law precisely on the Responsibility of the Multimodal Carrier, a very foresighted choice.

Years of experience working with leading shipowners have allowed me to build strong relationships with all the key players who can vouch for the quality of my services.
